Ocean’s Triumph (Turbulence & Triumph Book 3) by Demelza Carlton

Ocean's Triumph low res

Would Maria be able to convince William she was not a ghost. William spent his days between working, staging fights and drinking to try to forget Maria’s death. Days seemed to float into each other as William kept going back to the Rock Pool to speak to the ‘Dragon’. It seemed to help him in some way to talk to a mythical creature about Maria. He described his trials and tribulations after the Trevessa sank and his pain on losing Maria to the Ocean. As William was talking to the Dragon Maria slipped out of sight so he did not see her transform but when she came back, he was gone. Was she too late again! Can she convince him she isn’t a ghost! Will the story come full circle after years of anguish and loneliness? I am sure by now whilst reading you would have picked up whom Maria really was. It was a fitting ending to the last book of the series. I am now going to tackle the Ocean’s Gift Series, as I need more of Maria and her adventures. Thanks Demelza Carlton for these great books.

Ocean’s Trial (Turbulence & Triumph Book 2) by Demelza Carlton

Ocean's Trial low res

I couldn’t read the first couple of pages quick enough to find out if William was safe or killed!
Merry D’Angelo was a kind soul to take in a girl she did not know, give her a home and a last name so no one found out the truth about Maria and she did appreciate everything that Merry did for her.
As a non-swimmer, not through want of trying, I am jealous the way Maria just jumps into the ocean does what she needs to and comes out again. This book explained questions I previously had about Marie and I must admit I like her very much. In Oceans Justice I my feelings for Maria were jumbled, one minute I liked her the next I did not. Now I am starting to understand why she prefers to live with humans. Her friendship over the years with Tony is marred by her determination to find William and find out finally if he still loves her or not. At last, she finds William only to be repeatedly rejected, why is he so better towards her. Will she follow William to get revenge, will her love for William stop her from killing him.
Book 3 – Ocean’s Triumph has the answers we need.

Ocean’s Justice (Turbulence & Triumph Book 1) by Demelza Carlton

Oceans Justice

Demelza Carlton had me from the first paragraph. I wanted to know about Maria and why she was sent from her home never to see her family again.
Where does Maria come from? Is she an assassin? Why kill the person she loved? I needed these questions answered sooner rather than later so there was no way this book was being put down until I read the whole thing.
Maria’s strong character hit you from the first chapter…no one was going to get the better of her unless it was what she wanted.
When she was rescued I felt Maria’s frustration on not being able to understand what they were saying and was grateful to William for being a gentleman.
There is so much Marie does not know… chocolate, a man shaving – simple things to us but confusing to her. Is she an alien and that is why she has no concept of what is the norm to us? Then as you continue reading you realize she is not an alien but something just as strange.
This is a book you won’t want to put down until your questions are answered. What happens to Maria and William? Read Ocean’s Trial and you may get your question answered. Ocean’s Trial Book 2 is just as exciting as Ocean’s Justice.

See You In Hell by Demelza Carlton

See You In Hell

This book got right into the story. I was intrigued from the beginning trying to work out how the author was going to get Mel and Luce together knowing who he was and the fact that angels and demons will never be one.

Her kindness seemed to tame the savagest demon, it seemed so simple yet I knew she had to be more than she appeared for things to go the way it did.

To say the ending was a stroke of genius in the way Demelza Carlton ended book one is an understatement.

It’s a book you must read. Release of book 2 cannot come quick enough for me.

Mel Goes To Hell by Demelza Carlton

I felt Mel’s power straight away. Her goodness screams out at your and the way she is determined to get to Luce back into the fold was impressive. When I read the part where he was damned back to hell I started to cry for Luce, his love for Mel really showed here. When Mel died I could not believe it, she was supposed to be the strongest out of them all. As I progressed through the book things started to change and I again smiled. Demelza in a few paragraphs had me smiling, laughing, crying and smiling again. There were times you could not help but laugh at the antics Mel and Luce got themselves into, even Demons could not refuse her. Will the despair eventually get to Mel? Will Mel get to Lucifer in time? You travel with Mel from one tantalizing chapter to another trying to find Luce. Just when you think she has at last found him something else gets in the way, time and time again. At the end, the decision is whether Mel is going to turn around and go back or try to take Luce with her. Is this the final episode of Mel and Luce or just the beginning…you will have to by the book to find out. I could not put this book down, no matter what the time was, believe me 3.15 in the morning when you have to go to work the next day is very late.

Demelza Carlton has a way of bringing life to her characters. Thank you Demelza, I for one cannot wait for the book 3 ‘To Hell and Back’ to be released in 2015.
