D.S. William’s Biography

ds williams

Wife and mother to four demanding teenagers, D.S. Williams started writing at the age of five, when life was simpler and her stories really didn’t have to make much sense. When you’re five, happily ever after always ended the story and how you got there didn’t matter so much.

Older and wiser, D.S. Williams has continued to write… and write… and write. With the support and encouragement of her husband and friends, she has finally come to the conclusion that she can’t keep hiding from the world forever and should try sharing the numerous novels which have been written over the past 40+ years.

D.S. Williams enjoys writing (obviously), reading (voraciously) and making lists (obsessively). She shares her life with her husband of twenty six years, the gang of four and the current furry residents, Tuppence & Angus.

Anna Hub’s Biography

annaHub

When I was a child I wanted to be an author, it seemed like a perfectly attainable dream to me then, but of course I grew up and realised that writing was not the best way to make a future for myself. So I discarded the idea and decided to do something normal.

When I studied nursing I thought I’d found a place for myself, but within six months of working in that field I knew I needed more. So in July 2007 I bought myself a lap top and started writing in my spare time. It took me two years to complete my first book and by the time it was finished I felt as though I’d learnt enough to pursue the dream.

My love for writing has grown rapidly since then and now I know that it’s something I can’t live without. It’s a place where there is no limit, no exact destination and my mind is free to exist in many worlds.

It’s a beautiful sanctuary.

Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe by Rebecca Raisin

Chocolate Dreams

I loved Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe and Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe is no exception.

The minute Joel rang all I wanted to do was to grab the phone off Lil and tell him what to do with himself and my words were not going to be polite. I also applauded the way CeeCee had a chance to tell Joel what she thought of him.

And I adored the silver Easter egg Damion and Charlie gave Lil during the festival.

Tears fall down my face over CeeCee’s kindness to Lil and remember times when that has happened in my life and suddenly I’m smiling.

CeeCee’s second sight works again so now I can’t wait for the next novella.

The Bookshop on the Corner by Rebecca Raisin

The Bookshop on the Corner

To work in an industry you love and creating a feel of warmth and relation inthat business is not an easy task to achieve. Sarah managed to do just that.

I loved the way Rebecca Raisin mentioned other characters from ‘Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe’ and
‘Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe’ so I could keep up to date with their lives.
After reading all the novellas in this series I find myself wanting to visit Ashford to see the quaint
stores and meet everyone.

The beauty of small towns is how they bond together to ensure all businesses thrive…why do they do
this…it’s simple really, they’re all smart business people who realise they all need each other to
survive.

Geralds explanation of his wifes (Gloria) book collection sang to my heart. When Gerald told Sarah
Gloria had passed away and he kept reading the last book she read out loud as if she was there with him
brought tears to my eyes.

I have to mention here of Mary-Rose and her little shop fitted with home made candles and bath bombs, if
it was possible for what you are reading to omit a sence of smell this novella did exactly that.
I loved Ridge’s banter with Sarah. Could Ridge be hr dream guy…not if she kept writing a book in her
head in the negative he won’t be.

When CeeCee told Sarah people had long distance relationships via Spacebook I actually laughed out loud.
At one stage I felt as if I was sitting with CeeCee, Missy, Lil and Sarah eating Chocolate Truffels,
drinking gingierbread coffee and chatting. I found myself going from laughing to crying to wonder to
smiling.

Does Sarah and Ridge’s relationship last, after what she thought Ridge had done. You will have to read
‘The Bookshop on the Corner’ to find out.
